This is the crux. We are wholly committed to this move, having bought tix, selling everything, quiting jobs, removing the kids from school, everything. And we still don’t know what we will do for work when we get there. Seems crazy, but confidence is a great thing to have, and we are flush in it.
Crista is confident that she can get a job in any salon that has openings. Her experience, attitude, and skills will take her a long way. Did I mention she is beautiful? She has a couple contacts already that are working for her to see what locations and opportunities will be available.
I am sure I can also find work in insurance again. Even though I have much less experience in the field I have already made a few dozen applications and am working closely with a man that has an opening. He has told me I have an interview once I arrive, so that is as much as you can ask for so far.
Even if I had to take a manual labor job for starters (construction trades and truck driving are hot jobs right now) I will. We will make it work because we’re committed. And if you know anyone who has an opening let me know OK?
